It looked for a while that for the second straight match, Westchester Soccer Club was about to take a major step forward in the USL League One standings on Saturday, but in the end it proved not to be the case as Spokane Velocity came from behind for a 3-1 win.
Westchester SC jumped out to an early lead before Spokane answered with three consecutive goals to complete the road comeback. Dean Guezen opened the scoring to put the hosts ahead 1-0 in the 27th minute, but, Neco Brett converted a penalty kick to equalize in the 33rd minute, and just before halftime, Shavon John-Brown scored to give the visitors the lead for good. Andre Lewis sealed the 3-1 victory with a second-half strike off a cross from Moses Mensah late in the second half, allowing Spokane to secure a regular-season sweep over Westchester SC in their 2026 USL League One matchups.
The loss dropped WSC to 6-3-2 at home with a crucial matchup Wednesday in Mt. Vernon against Chattanooga.
