Daniel Burko’s goal eight minutes into stoppage time capped a furious second half comeback, as Westchester Soccer Club wrapped their second season with a 2-2 draw at Sarasota Paradise, stretching their record unbeaten string to seven matches (five wins and two draws), and getting them to 1-3-4 in their last eight road matches, which includes the 2-1 win at NY Cosmos on Sept. 19 which broke the club’s 22 match road winless streak (0-16-6).

Early second half goals by Jonathan Bolanos and Emiliano Terzaghi staked Sarasota to a 2-0 lead against keeper Andrew Hammersley, but Jonathan Jimenez cut the lead to 2-1 in the 83rd minute and setting up Burko’s heroics.
The draw completed an impressive second year turnaround under first year coach George Gjokaj, going from 5 – 16- 9 in their inaugural season to 11-14-6 in season two. They finished 10-4-2 at home (a marked improvement from 3-8-4 in Mt. Vernon in their inaugural season) and scored the second-most goals at home in a USL League One season (39) trailing only the output table leader Charlotte Independence had.
