WSC has added Queens native Piero Elias to the roster via a 25 day contract on Wednesday. The 22 year old central midfielder comes to Westchester from Sporting JAX in the USL Championship. After attending and playing for Forest Hills High School in Queens, N.Y. and playing for Metropolitan Oval Academy, Elias transitioned into becoming a member of the NYCFC academy system instead of stepping into a collegiate career. This proved to be the right choice seeing as after two seasons with NYCFC II, Elias made his debut with the first team in July 2024. While playing for NYCFC II, he played over 5,600 minutes, tallied 11 goals, 11 assists, and started 63 of 77 games. He played in one USL Cup Match for Sporting JAX thus far this season.

Born on September 8, 2002, in Queens, New York, Elias developed his skills through local New York academies rather than taking the college route.
He will be available for this Saturday’s home match vs. FC Naples.
