It was announced on Thursday by US Soccer that Westchester Soccer Club will host NYCFC of Major League Soccer in the Round of 32 of the 2026 Lamar Hunt US Open Cup. The match, the first between the second-year USL League One club and an MLS club, will be held at The Stadium at Memorial Field on Tuesday April 14 at 7:30 PM and will be seen on Paramount+.

WSC, who return to USL League One play on Saturday at home against FC Corpus Christi, are coming off their thrilling win in penalties (4-3) Wednesday night in Vermont, after regulation and extra time ended in a 0-0 draw.
Bryan Vasquez converted against keeper Niklas Herceg and Connor Miller was denied by Matias Molina to secure the win. WSC has yet to allow a goal in US Open Cup play this season, with both Molina and Andrew Hammersley recording clean sheets. They are also 2-0 at home in their two seasons of US Open Cup play, 2-1 on the road.
