Bobby Fertil-Pierre, Rashid Tetteh and Noah Powder the latest signees ahead of this spring’s inaugural season
Mount Vernon, NY January 27, 2025- Westchester Soccer Club today added three more players to their roster for their inaugural season in USL League One. The three, defenders Bobby Fertil-Pierre, Rashid Tetteh and Noah Powder (the brother of WSC signee Samory Powder), join a growing mix of veterans and young, athletic talent as WSC readies to officially open their first season on March 8 in Greenville, SC against Greenville Triumph SC with their home opener at The Stadium at Memorial Park against Rhode Island SC on April 27. All three contracts are subject to approval by the league.
A look at the latest signees:
Kurowskybob ‘Black Panther’ Fertil-Pierre (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) is a defender who comes to Westchester from Real Monarchs in MLS Next Pro where he has played the past two seasons. Pierre made his professional debut in 2019, for Real Monarchs before spending two seasons in France with Strasbourg, before returning to Real Monarchs in 2022. He is eligible for the United States and Haiti and played eight total matches for Haiti U17 in the 2019 CONCACAF U-17 Championship and 2019 FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Noah Powder (Edison, NJ ), began his youth career with the New York Red Bulls Academy, and his professional career kicked off in 2016 when he signed with New York Red Bulls II in the USL. In 2019, Powder transferred to Real Monarchs, the reserve team for Real Salt Lake FC, where he helped the club secure the 2019 USL Championship title. Powder has also played Indy Eleven, Tulsa FC, Orange County FC and most recently for USL League One side Northern Colorado Hailstorm. He has also represented Trinidad and Tobago at the international level since 2015.
Rashid Tetteh (Accra, Gambia) comes to Westchester SC from FC Tulsa. After starring at High Point University, Tettah joined the Carolina Dynamo in 2016 before moving on to play for the Des Moines Menace, New Mexico United and then FC Tulsa. He has also played internationally for the Ghana National Team.
The three latest signees join a roster that already include a strong group of Americans with USL experience, including: wing back Kemar Lawrence, fullback Samory Powder, midfielder Conor McGlynn and defender Stephen Payne, midfielder Andrew Jean-Baptiste, defender Joel Johnson newcomer midfielder Bryan Vazquez and a trio of Dutch natives in midfielders Daniel Bouman, Dean Diego Guezen and striker Koen Blommestijn
