While Westchester Soccer Club was hoping Saturday night’s return to Wisconsin was going to be the karma needed to break the long winless streak, that was not to be the case, as the leagues hottest club, Forward Madison, sent WSC back home with a 2-0 loss Saturday.
Hakim “Bibi” Karamoko found the back of the net in the first half, and Stephen Annor Gyamfi sealed the game with a second-half strike, while Westchester SC was forced to play a man down for a significant portion of the match after Bobby Pierre picked up a red card early in the first half. With this win, Forward Madison extended its club-record home undefeated streak to 11 consecutive matches and secured its sixth straight league victory.
WSC’s road winless streak is now at 19 games (0-14-5), and their three game unbeaten streak…which included a pair of road draws for the first time in their history sandwiched around a 3-0 home win vs. NY Cosmos…was stopped.
Their last road win was at Madison on June 18 of last season. They have recorded one road win out of league play in 2026, a 4-3 win in penalties in US Open Cup play on April 1 at Vermont Green, a match which was scoreless after play was completed.
Saturday completed a stretch of six overall road matches in an eight match stretch for WSC and they now have off until they return home to host FC Naples on August 15.
