George Gjokaj
Head Coach
Gjokaj joins WSC after serving as Head of FC Westchester, one of the most prestigious youth programs in the country. Since 1997, he’s helped develop a steady pipeline of collegiate and pro-pathway talent.
A lifelong New Yorker, Gjokaj played youth soccer with BW Gottschee before starring at Adelphi and St. John’s, where he captained the Red Storm in 1995 and led the squad to their fourth-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
He also played professionally with FC Kaiserslautern and later in the USISL for NY Fever, North Jersey Imperials, and Albany Alley Cats. Off the field, he played a key role in building NYCFC’s inaugural roster through his scouting work ahead of their MLS launch, a club that went on to win MLS Cup.
